I'm proud to be a Red Warrior... Kanina, 7:30 ng umaga... Habang gumagawa kami ng seatwork, or should I say, hands-on namin sa ETYPE (Electronic Typing), pumasok ang prof namin sa TECH-1 sa lab at may binulong sa aming Prof sa ETYPE... Maaga akong natapos sa nasabing activity kaya naman nakapag internet ako at nag bloghop ako... Bumalik ang prof namin at sinabing may bisita daw ang UE na mga Generals, inassign daw ang block namin upang manood sa talk ng mga "Generals"... Nagtaka kami ng aking mga ka blockmates... Anong klaseng Generals kaya ang tinutukoy nila? Maaga ang pag dissmiss sa amin sa ETYPE at dumerecho na kami sa UE Theater... Napadaan kami sa Dalupan Bldg. at nakita namin ang banda ng UE at ang Pep Squad... Nagbigay sila ng performance sa mga bisita... Pero hindi namin napanood dahil kailangan na naming dumerecho sa Theater... Ang ganda ng Theater, very well designed at very well ventilated... Dahil nga isa akong "aktor" sa entablado, talagang inadmire ko ang design ng UE Theater, at nagawa ko pang picturan ang stage... Nagpapasukan na ang mga estudyante mula sa iba't-ibang colleges, at hinintay na ang aming mga bisita... Natapos na ang mahabang paghihintay, lumabas na ang emcee at inintroduce na ang mga nagdadatingang Guests... Sila ang mga UE Knights... Mga bigating Alumni ng UE, na sumailalim sa ROTC na ngayon ay mga kilala na at may posisyon na sa AFP, PN, PNP, at AF... So aking napagtanto na ang meaning pala ng aming prof na Generals ay mga Heneral ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Republika ng Pilipinas... Sabi ng emcee, among the Universities, UE daw ang isa sa producers ng Leaders and Generals sa Pilipinas... Kabilang na sina Senador Alfredo Lim (na guest speaker kanina) at si Mr. Vice President Noli De Castro... Ngayon ko lang nalaman na UE graduate pala siya... University of The East Manila, Philippines presents "A Day with the Generals" A Colloquium on National Security "Where Are We Heading?" Ito ang naging tema ng kanilang talk... "Kumander" Jennivev "Nene" Tamayo UE ROTC 2002 Pinoy Big Brother 1st Big Winner (correct me if im wrong with the name) Medyo inantok ako sa ibang talks pero, naagapan ko naman at nagawa ko paring makinig sa mga speakers... Pero, kailangang umalis ni Sen. Lim ng maaga kaya pinauna na siya... Very inspirational ang ginawa niyang talk, he told us na ang Batas ay para sa lahat, mayaman man o hindi, mataas man o mababa... Napakadaming parangal na ang natanggap niya, hindi ko naalala sa sobrang dami... Hehe.. At lalo pa akong humanga ng malaman kong isa siyang UE Graduate... Hindi ko malilimutan ang mga huli niyang sinabi bago tapusin ang kanyang talk... "All that I own, I owe it all to UE..." Lalo tuloy akong naging proud sa aking Pamantasan na pinasukan... Sana, balang araw, makilala din ako bilang graduate ng UE, kahit hindi man ito sa larangan ng Militar... Basta masabi ko lang na isa akong Red Warrior... Talagang na inspire ako sa araw na ito, kaya't para sa kanila ang post ko na ito... To the UE Knights, the Generals, and the Alumni Association... Congratulations... Go UE Warriors! Go! Fight Fight Fight!
